About the event
We've been sold a version of bravery that looks confident, certain, and a little cinematic. Real courage rarely looks like that.
Real courage looks like knees wobbling and a heart wide open. It looks like showing up when you'd rather disappear. It looks like staying in the tender, trembling space of something new instead of retreating into the familiar. It looks like you, on an ordinary day, choosing not to run.
Most of us are braver than we know. We just haven't had a space to stop and recognize it.
This circle is that space. We'll gather to witness each other's courage, tell the truth about what brave actually feels like in a real woman's life, and find in each other the strength to stay open — to ourselves, to each other, and to what's becoming possible.
Because brave isn't the absence of fear. It's what you look like when you show up anyway.
This is What Brave Looks Like
In this circle, we will:
Explore what real courage looks and feels like—in our bodies, our relationships, and our lives
Share honestly about where we've taken bold steps and what it feels like to stand in that new territory
Support one another in staying open rather than retreating into the familiar
Practice a ritual that honors the courage it took to get here—and strengthens what comes next
The wobbling knees are welcome. All of you is welcome. Come as you are.
About This Circle
"This Is What Brave Looks Like" is the first gathering in Visible and Whole — a six-circle summer journey through courage, stillness, rising, transformation, tending, and the turning of the season. You are welcome to join us for this circle alone or walk the full summer journey. Every gathering stands beautifully on its own.
Every Women's Flourishing Circle opens with gentle movement — stretching, breath, and simple somatic practice — to help you leave the day at the door and arrive fully in your body and the present moment. From there, the circle opens with intention. Women share honestly, listen deeply, and experience something that most tell us they've never quite felt before.
You will not be forced to share anything you're not ready to share. The space is structured to be safe, honest, and held with over 20 years of professional facilitation experience.
Duration: 2 hours
What to Wear: Something comfortable — we begin with movement
What to Have on Hand: A journal if you like to write.
Accessibility Note: There is one flight of stairs to reach the studio.
Come as you are. Leave feeling better equipped, centered, and connected.
All women are welcome. Diversity is celebrated. Love is abundant.
Why Gather in Circle
Indigenous cultures understood and practiced what science has also proven: that when two or more people come together, we co-regulate, or stabilize one another's emotional and physiological state.
The Women's Flourishing Circle is a space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect—with yourself and with others. Through gentle conversation, listening and reflection, mindful practices, and supportive presence, we create an environment where your nervous system can settle and restore.
In a calm and welcoming space, we cultivate a sense of safety, belonging, and authentic connection. In circle, you don’t have to hold everything alone—being witnessed, heard, and supported helps our bodies remember how to relax and regulate.
